Temple Independent School District emphasizes the importance of the arts and encourages a strong performing and visual arts program at all levels. Students at Bonham Middle School have the opportunity to begin or continue with a comprehensive arts education in the four arts disciplines:
- Choir
- Band
- Orchestra
- Theater
- Art

Off-Campus Physical Education has been established by the Temple Independent School District and the Texas Education Agency as a way to accommodate state physical education requirements and student choices for electives at the middle school level. Middle school students may receive one-half credit (.5) per semester for middle school credit only.
