CultureGrams

The CultureGrams Online Database provides anytime access to the World, Kids, States, and Provinces editions, photo and slideshow galleries, videos, interviews, recipes, famous people biographies, and graphs and tables. Log in with the user name tisd and the district's login password. If you need that password, please contact the Help Desk (phone: 215-6883).

Discovery Education Streaming Video

Students can log into Discovery Education Streaming Video (formerly United Streaming) by using the user name tisdstudent and the generic student password.  If you need assistance with the password, contact the Help Desk.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online

All students can use Britannica Online School Edition for its encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, and video resources.  Encyclopedia Britannica has 3 levels: Elementary, Middle School, and High School.  Students can log in with the user name tisd and the generic student password.  If you need assistance with the password, contact the Help Desk.

Enciclopedia Universal en Español 

Enciclopedia Universal en Español offers resources in Spanish for all ages in two unique interfaces, each with its own comprehensive encyclopedia: Enciclopedia Universal en Español for high school ages and up and Enciclopedia Juvenil for ages 6-12.

Google Apps for Education

Students now have access to safe online learning tools from Google including: monitored email accounts, unlimited storage, email, calendars, and productivity tools like Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. See the TechCats resource for students!

Google Classroom

Teachers can now sign up for Google Classroom by clicking the link above.  You will need to log in with your "gcloud.tisd.org" account.

Handbooks & Guidelines

The student handbooks and guidelines resource includes the secondary parent and student handbook with any modifications for the current school year, the Student Code of Conduct, and the TISD Grading Guidelines.

iLit (Inspire Literacy)

Students may log in at learnilit.com to work on improving their reading skills. Be sure and select TEMPLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT from the dropdown menu before logging in with student ID and password.

IXL

Students in sixth grade math may use this product made possible through the MIZ grant. Eighth grade students have access to IXL provided by Gear Up.

Mentoring Minds - Motivation

Students have access to digital workbooks for math and reading in 6th and 7th grades. Eighth grade also has science. 

Renaissance Place for Star Math (in district only)

Star Math at Renaissance Place is a program that assesses mathematics skills.  Star Math is available for students in grades 6-8.

Student Access

Students in grades 1-12 can access grades online.  Use your student ID number and computer login password.  You can also access this link from the TISD homepage.

Textbooks Online

Students and teachers will use the links provided below to sign into online textbooks. In math, science, and social studies, the sign-on is automatic. Spanish I students will use their student ID number and regular password, while teachers will use first.last and password chosen.

Think Through Math (TTM)

Think Through Math is an online math instruction tool for Algebra 1 classes. Students use the Clever Instant Login Link, signing on with their Google credentials.

World Book 

World Book is available to TISD students as a research tool. There are 3 sections: World Book Kids, World Book Student, and World Book Advanced.  Students can also access the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgo (Spanish Discovery Encyclopedia) from this link.  Students can log in with the user name tisd and the generic student password.  If you need assistance with the password, contact the Help Desk.

Students in middle and high school now have access to Xello to help explore and plan for their college and career.  To register your account, click on the link above and use your Google login credentials.
