Mrs. Lynnsay Macey's 6th grade Pre-AP English/Language Arts classes rounded out their Wonder book study by completing a meaningful project. The objective was to come up with a plan to spread the "Choose Kind" movement inspired by R.J. Palacio's Wonder, and put that plan into action.
Her students took the project and ran with it. Many students volunteered for organizations like Churches Touching Lives for Christ, The Well, and Justice4Mutts. Some students chose to help walk dogs and complete yard work for elderly neighbors. Others, like Wesley Blackman, created items in order to spread the "Choose Kind" message.
