Mr. Mark van de Mortel Visits Bonham from Holland

Mr. Mark van de Mortel, Vice Principal of Saint Ursula in Holland, spent time at Bonham on Wednesday. During his presentation to about 80 students and school staff, he described Holland, dispelled myths about the country, and explained how the education system in his country operates.

Students asked great questions about transportation to/from school, school lunches, and the schedule for the typical school day. Mr. van de Mortel's answers about no transportation or school lunches astonished the Bonham students. Likewise, the students were jealous to learn that Saint Ursula's school day begins at 8:45 a.m.
