Our Story

Bonham Middle School was established in 1969 as Bonham Junior High. The school was named in honor of the defender of the Alamo and friend to William B. Travis, James Butler Bonham. As a junior high campus, students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades attended. Now a middle school, Bonham holds classes for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

  • School colors are orange, white, and blue.
  • The school mascot is the bulldog.
  • The school motto is “Runnin’ with the Big Dawgs!”
  • Classes begin each week day at  7:50 AM and classes are dismissed for the day at 3:45 PM.
