A database is a collection of records or data (information) that is stored in a computer system. It is organized to be accessed, managed, and updated easily.

A digital resource includes a database, but also e-books, e-news, audio books, videos, or any other digitized sources that are used for research or information.

 

Databases

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) provides a state-wide databases program called TexQuest for K-12 public schools in connection with Gale Cengage and others. There are twenty databases available for teacher and student use.
